Born and raised in Shelburne, Lila grew up in a family of musicians. She has used music to express her ideas and experiences, beginning her formal education of classical music, piano and voice at a very young age. Lila discovered, while attending Mount Holyoke College, that she loved to teach and work with children. As a result, she studied Psychology and Multicultural Education. Her career path has always involved working with children in some capacity, from teaching horseback riding, skiing and music classes to directing after school programs. Lila's goal is to create a sense of connection for children, with themselves, others, their communities and the natural world around them.
